I am a take charge kind of gal. I like to know the parameters of what needs to be done and then I like to be set loose to do my work. I will send up a flare if I need help, but in 20+ years, I have never turned in late work. I have been told more than once I am “Johnny-on-the-spot.” I do not have the procrastination bone in my body and brainstorm even when I am relaxing in front of the TV or at the beach. The only people I have a hard time working with are procrastinators who leave work until the bitter end then create a fire to put out and save the day. Four in the morning is when I get some of my best ideas. Creativity is very important to me; I see no point in reinventing the wheel 40 hours a week. Business plans have to make sense. I like to bring something new to every discussion and I am always, but always, prepared with a handout with links to back up my assertions. Call it the English Teacher Effect. I also like full credit for my work; I will gladly collaborate, but I want credit for the accomplishments I have earned. That’s me in a nutshell.
